Letter to year 6

Dear year 6,

Parade update

We hope you are all well and managing to entertain yourselves at home?  We wanted to write to you to say we know how much you have been looking forward to all your end of year celebrations and let you know that Patina is doing everything we can come up with Moving On plans for you.

We dont know when we will be able to get together again, or what the rules will be, but we promise that we will do everything to make your parade happen if we possibly can.

But don’t worry, we have lots of the fun Moving On preparations for you to have a go at while you are at home. We’ll be sending details to you very soon and would love to hear back from you with all your ideas and pictures.

Moving on through this together

Meanwhile, we thought it would be lovely for children in and around Lewes to send messages of support to children in our twin towns of Waldshut-Tiengen in Germany and Blois in France, who are coping with the corona situation too. We can call it “Moving on through this together”. Would you join us by sending us a drawing of the people and things you love and send wishes to children your age who might be struggling in our twin towns please? We can’t wait to see what you think of – please ask your parents or carers to email your drawings and written messages (they can be in English!) to patinatwintowns@gmail.com before 24 April and we will send them on your behalf to our friends in Germany and France.

Thank you everyone, we will be back in touch very soon. We can do this!

All the best,

Caroline, Sophie and everyone at Patina
