We are raising money for the 2019 Moving On Parade by hiring out Christmas lanterns again this year to light up shops, cafes, pubs, businesses and individuals in and around Lewes and Ringmer. The lanterns have become a familiar feature of Christmas cheer in the area with well over 60 lanterns hired and new businesses getting involved this year. Shaped as hearts, peace baubles, stars and cute owls, the lanterns are being hired by an increasing number of families as cheerful Christmas decorations for their homes and businesses as a gesture of support for the children’s charity.
Creating the lanterns was a way of adding to the Christmas lights in the area in a very local and distinctive way while raising funds for Moving On. Patina is 18 years old this year and it is continued support for fundraising initiatives like this that makes Moving On possible for local children all these years”.
Zoe Tompsett who manages the new 12/31 Cafe in Lewes said, “We are delighted to enhance our café with such lovingly made and beautiful lanterns. We wanted to support Patina and Moving On which gives so much joy to the children and wider community.”
